8:30 a.m. – 8:40 a.m. Review of any submitted plat(s) received from the MPC or other agencies for review, approval and or authorization of No Objection Letters from the Bossier Levee District.

1). EDGEWATER PASS UNIT 3 – Flat RIVER
2). A-PAX SUBDIVISION - Being a resubdivision of a portion of Lot 1 of Buckhall Plantation Subdivision in Section 19, Township 19, Range 13 West

8:40 a.m. – 8:50 a.m. Operations Coordinator, Mark Long to discuss channel bank erosion concerns brought by a property owner located within Shadow Ridge Estates along the left descending bank of Red Chute Bayou.

8:50 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Mark Long to seek approval to obtain bids for levee surfacing on Red Chute Bayou Levee from Hwy 80 to the State Levee at an estimated amount of $1,736,634.84.

9:00 a.m. – 9:10 a.m. Mark Long to discuss a proposal from Burns Cooley Dennis, Inc., for geotechnical investigations, analyses, and recommendations for seepage associated with the Bossier Red River Levee for an estimated fee of $181,401.00.

9:10 a.m. – 9:20 a.m. Mark Long to discuss a quote of $10,056.00 received from Volkert, Inc. to submit a permit to the railroad and for the design of two gap closures in the Red River Levee at railroad crossings.

9:20 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Mark Long to discuss a possible grant opportunity on behalf of a local landowner/farmer, from the EPA Gulf of America Division to Advance Innovative, Farmer-Led Conservation on Working Lands.

9:30 a.m. – 9:40 a.m. Mark Long to provide an update on surplus equipment sale through GovDeals.com.

9:40 a.m. – 9:50 a.m. The BLD’s audio equipment has been repaired, and solicitations for video equipment is no longer needed at this time due to HB 615 having stalled in the Senate Committee on Senate and Governmental Affairs.

9:50 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. To adopt the CURRENT/SAME Millage rate of 3.77 mills for the 2026 year and the passage of the resolution – NO ROLL FORWARD. (Tax roll is $986,175,736 which would produce approximately $3,717,313 in tax revenue. (*FYI: 2025 tax roll was $945,266,072 and was predicted to produce an estimated $3,563,224)
