The Bossier Levee District was created by R.S. 38:291(B);304). As outlined in state statute, the Governor appoints nine members to the Board of Commissioners. Four members are selected from Ward 2; four members are selected from Wards 1 and 4; and one at-large member is appointed who many live in any of these wards. All commissioners must own land located within the district.
The Board of Commissioners meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. All meetings are open to the public. For additional information, contact (318) 746-7151.
