VI. REQUESTS BY VISITORS
A. Kurt Nixon with Nixon Engineering will discuss the Red River Levee Certification.
B. Mike Defalco, representing Broussard & Company, Inc. will present and discuss the Bossier Levee District’s Annual Financial Report and Audit for the fiscal year ending June 30th , 2019 by conference call or virtually due to the Coronavirus (COVID – 19) pandemic.
C. Michael Guyton with CHR Partnership will discuss the Bossier Levee District’s Insurance Renewal effective on December 1, 2020. The Finance and Insurance Committee will also address the Board with their recommendation formed from their previously held meeting with him.
D. Michan Holbrook with Coyle Engineering Co, Inc. on behalf of the Bossier Parish Police Jury are seeking approval from the BLD for the bridge replacement over Flat River on Linton Road (East of Airline Drive) which is in the District’s Control Area. (PERMIT #2020 - 38)
E. Mr. Randal Smoak, P.E. with Cothren. Graff, Smoak Engineering, Inc. and their client, Mr. Thomas Moore have submitted a permit request for the installation of culverts and the construction of a driveway near Willow Chute Bayou located at 1060 Wemple Road. (PERMIT #2020 - 39)
F. Mr. Fabio Cantu, Jr. owner of Artistic Backyard Creations, has submitted a permit request for the installation of a swimming pool within the 100’ Levee Board Control Area of Willow Chute Bayou for 17 Caledonia Drive located in Tiburon Subdivision on behalf of homeowner, Ms. Jennifer Netterville. (PERMIT #2020 – 41)
VII. OLD BUSINESS
A. Update the Board on the continued progress of the Red Chute Levee Widening Project.
VIII. NEW BUSINESS
A. To discuss any proposed plats received needing approval from the Bossier Levee District.
B. Discussion of some unresolved flooding issues located in Plantation Estates. (Mr Jeff Raley with Raley and Associates noted a small culvert under Audubon Drive and an obstruction across the bayou on the west side of Vanceville Road.)
C. Resolution authorizing secretary to transfer $500,000.00 from Huddleston/Smith Investments to checking account for all upcoming monthly expenditures including construction projects.
