VI. REQUESTS BY VISITORS
A. Michael Guyton with Huckaby Insurance to discuss the Bossier Levee Board’s Insurance Renewal’s effective on December 1, 2018.
B. Stanley and JoAnn Aultman are presenting a revised request for a permit to construct a storage building on their residential property located at 137 Southwood Drive, Bossier City, alongside Benoit Bayou Ditch.
C. Reggie Lewis, Raley & Associates representing Helm Restaurants, Inc. are proposing to build a Taco Bell located in the 5500 block of Airline Drive, Bossier City. The drainage plan for this construction as well as the undeveloped tract will be to construct a linear shaped detention basin parallel to the east boundry in order to contain runoff from the entire tract. The collected runoff would discharge via a 10” PVC pipe into Willow Chute bayou. A drainage servitude agreement has been negotiated with Mr. McCall, owner of Willow Chute Storage on behalf of Helm Restaurant previously in order to provide drainage access to the Bayou.
D. Michael Kelsch, Raley & Associates is requesting a permit for Tiburon Subdivision, Unit No. 9. They have submitted a request for an extension of an 18” A200 storm pipe into Willow Chute Bayou and a drainage servitude to be split between lots 167 and 168 and extending to the property line.
VII. OLD BUSINESS
A. Mark Long to discuss and update the Board on the progression of the Red Chute Levee Projects: Red Chute Levee Widening Project and the Red Chute Levee Raise Project.
B. Discussion of the outcome of the letter to be written by the BLD’s legal counsel to the Association of Levee Boards of Louisiana – LA Flood Coalition in response to their request for a $5,000.00 contribution.
VIII. NEW BUSINESS
A. Mark Long to seek authorization to purchase an AFE Cutter Head for the Bossier Levee District at a low quote of: $37,090.00.
B. Mr. Long also requesting an equipment authorization for the purchase of a limb saw attachment for the excavator.
C. Discussion of the Herndon Ditch debris clean out request received from the City of Bossier City.
D. Resolution authorizing Secretary to transfer $400,000.00 from Huddleston/Smith Investments to checking account for expenditures.
