A. Brit Framel - representing GEP Haynesville, LLC and Jacob Champion with Acadian Land Services LLC – requesting approval of maintenance, upkeep and use of the existing access road along the Red Chute Bayou Levee as access for 2 additional well sites.
B. Ryan Estess, representing Raley & Associates, Inc. – Seeking further permit approval for the encroachment inadvertently not requested for Fairburn Avenue Extension and the re-grading of the existing Kingston Elementary detention pond when original drainage plans were submitted for the proposed Benton High School currently under construction.
C. Kurt Nixon, representing Nixon Engineering – Discussion on the Benoit Bayou Study.
VII. OLD BUSINESS
A. Discussion of an amendment from Dewberry Consultants to perform additional services and increase the funding by $6,500.00 for the Red Chute Bayou Levee Improvements Contract. (The contract total would increase from $87,645.00 to $94,145.00).
B. Continued discussion and recommendation from appointed committee regarding the status of the Borrow Pit Lease and Surface Soil Removal Agreement with the Atkins-Sonnier Family Lands, LLC. and or other sources.
VIII. NEW BUSINESS
A. Joe C. Nobles requests reduction of easement – Fence permit along Willow Chute Bayou. Letter states that he wishes to construct a chain link fence on his property in the 100 feet easement area to the property line and existing fence for 116 feet and install 12’ gates, or whatever the BLD recommends him to do to allow proper excess when needed.
B. Resolution approving contract with Blanchard, Walker, O’Quinn, and Roberts for the year 2018 to represent Bossier Levee District in litigation approved by the state Attorney General.
C. Resolution authorizing secretary to transfer $150,000.00 from Huddleston/Smith Investments to checking account for expenditures.
D. Discussion of employee Medical Insurance rates and coverage.
